In each unit, there are 11 members of the unit executive council and for society's policy-making, moderating and advising the activities, there is central management committee consisting 15 members. The President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is the President of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society. He appoints chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society for three years.
